Nick Castle

Nick Castle (b. September 21, 1947, Los Angeles, California) is an American screenwriter and director whose most prominent work was with John Carpenter on the dystopian films Escape from New York and Escape from L.A.. Castle also directed the 1984 film, The Last Starfighter and wrote the screenplay for the 1991 Oscar-nominated Peter Pan fantasy, Hook directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Robin Williams. His other genre work includes The Boy Who Could Fly and minor appearances in the films Dark Star and Halloween. In the 90's he veered away from scifi into directing comedic films such as Dennis the Menace, Major Payne and Me. Wrong.
