Next is a 2007 thriller based on a short story by Philip K. Dick. The film is executive produced by Gary Goldman, Jason Koornick and Ben Waisbren and stars Nicolas Cage. Cage plays Cris Johnson, a Las Vegas magician who can see several minutes into the future. Having been studied as a child, Cris has spent his adult life avoiding those who would like to continue to do so. But when a terrorist organization threatens to set off a nuclear device in Los Angeles, he is asked by agent Callie Ferris (Julianne Moore) to help stop them from reaching their goals.
