New York City is a large international city located in the state of New York in the United States. It is the country's largest city and its financial center. It is home to Wall Street, the United Nations and the Metropolitan Museum of Art among several other world famous landmarks. It is also known as "the media capital of the world" and is home to several media giants including Time Warner, Viacom, and Hearst. New York is home to the headquarters of the four major U.S. Broadcast Television Networks, NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX as well as several cable networks.

Actors, writers, and musicians make their way from all over the country and the world to New York City to work and fulfill their dreams in the various sectors of the city's vast entertainment industry.

  • Hook and Ladder Company 8 – used as the headquarters of the Ghostbusters
  • Peter McManus Cafe – appears in the film Highlander
  • The Flatiron Building – the location of the Daily Bugle in the movie Spider-Man and its sequels. The building also appears in Armageddon
  • Madison Square Garden – Featured in many films, the arena appears in the opening scenes of the movie Highlander
  • Empire State Building – Famous in its own right, the building was made more so when King Kong climbed it in both the 1933 original and the 2005 remake.
  • New York Public Library – A major New York landmark, the building appears in several films including 13 Going on 30, Day After Tomorrow, Ghostbusters, and Spider-Man.
  • The Dakota – The apartment building was home to Rosemary in Rosemary's Baby
  • Times Square – famous the world over, has appeared in several films including Spider-Man and Vanilla Sky.
