New Nightmare is Wes Craven's 1994 sequel to the horror classic, A Nightmare on Elm Street. Most of the film's actors and creators portrayed themselves as Freddy's new victims. As the anniversary of A Nightmare on Elm Street approached, film actress Heather Langenkamp begins receiving phone calls from someone who sounds like the villain Freddy Krueger from the film. When her husband is killed and slash marks are discovered on his body, and she discovered Craven is writing another "Nightmare" film, she realizes that the villain may have entered the "real" world. She must become the character Nancy Thompson in order to defeat him.
