NTAC

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

NTAC or National Threat Assessment Command is a fictional division of Homeland Security in the series The 4400. NTAC was formed to deal with the 4400 returnees and keep track of them as they developed strange abilities including clairvoyance, telepathy, and telekinesis.

Members of NTAC include or have included:

Dennis Ryland supervised NTAC during the series first season before being promoted to Washington D.C. He was replaced by Agent Lyttel who proved to be overbearing and difficult for Tom and Diana to work with. Ryland returned when the 4400 began to fall prey to a mysterious disease. Tom and Diana's investigations uncovered that Ryland was the mastermind of a conspiracy to dose the 4400 with a drug known as a Promicin Inhibitor. The inhibitor was designed to suppress 4400 abilities and the illness they developed was a side-effect. Seventeen of the 4400 died before an antidote was found and Ryland faced a hearing but was let of lightly.

Ryland was replaced by Nina Jarvis, the new head of NTAC's Pacific Northwest Division. Jarvis was investigated in the matter of the Promicin Inhibitor scandal but was cleared of any wrong doing.
