The NSA (National Security Agency) is a United States Department of Defense organization charged with gathering and analyzing (including decrypting) foreign communications, and protecting US communications from the same.

It is alleged to have been involved with communications about UFOs and paranormal phenomena.

Fictional NSA agents have appeared in some Sci Fi works, although occassionally working well outside of what would be anticipated for real NSA employees.
