Mutant X is a Canadian/American TV Series based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name. The series premiered on October 6, 2001 and aired for three seasons, ending in 2004. It follows the adventures of a group of genetically engineered mutants with special powers as they try to evade the company that created them, Genomex, and help other mutants escape and make new lives for themselves. The team is led by scientist Adam Kane who once worked for Genomex and feels responsible from the safety of the mutants. They are threatened by his former partner Mason Eckhart who is interested in using the mutants and their abilities for his own agenda.
