Morgan Freeman (June 1, 1937 Memphis, Tennessee - ) is an American actor.

Cool, calm and collected. Morgan Freeman has been known for roles that project self-assurance, going back as far as his performances as Easy Reader on The Electric Company (on which he also played Count Dracula). His authoritative voice has been heard as the narrator of March of the Penguins and War of the Worlds (2005).

He won an Oscar for his work in Million Dollar Baby, and has been nominated for other awards for his genre work as well.

Among those roles is his portrayal of God in Bruce Almighty and its sequel, Evan Almighty.

He entered the world of Batman as Lucius Fox in Batman Begins and its sequel, The Dark Knight.
