Mordru is a fictional comic book super villain, an arch enemy of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th and 31st centuries, as well as the contemporary Justice Society of America in the present day. He is owned by DC Comics.
Mordru is so powerful, that when he first appeared in a Legion story during the Silver Age of Comics, he sent the entire Legion of Super-Heroes into hiding in the 20th century with Superboy.
A thousand years younger, Mordru battles the Justice Society.
Mordru is a Lord of Chaos, a force dedicated to the destruction of order in the universe. He is usually depicted as an incredibly powerful wizard. He has met the Justice Society in battle several times, and is one of their most implacable foes.
In the far future, Mordru is more powerful than ever, having carved out his own star empire at one time. He is brought to task by the Legion of Super-Heroes who often use his one weakness against him to imprison him. That weakness is confinement in an airtight underground vault, which seems to paralyze him.
For a while in the 30th Century, Mordru, much reduced in power, lived a more quiet life on the planet Xerox, the Sorceror's world, and home of a great race of magic users. He eventually steals the magic of other great sorcerors, and becomes again the villain he was a thousand years previously.
