Summary

The landlord comes to the boys apartment and says he is going to have his lawyer evict them...they are several months behind in the rent.

Mike has them pretend to be other people. A lawyer does come to the door, but he is there to let them know that an eccentric millionaire has died and had named them in the will.

They go to the dead man's creepy castle for the "playing of the will". The butler explains that the will is recorded on a phonograph record. Others there include: the dead man's grand-niece (she and Davy immediately have a "starry-eyed" moment); a medium; and the deceased's gentleman traveling companion.

Things turn supernatural when weird sound are heard. We see a furry hand. Eventually, a seance is held, in which the spirit of the dead man is apparently contacted (along with Jacob Marley, who seems to have the "wrong number").

The boys discover that the others have been faking the haunting to get rid of the grand-niece, to whom the mansion was left. However, we hear again the voice of Jacob Marley, who appears to be a real ghost.

Notes

During the episode, the boys sing Last Train to Clarksville and Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day.
