Monica Dawson is a fictional character on the series Heroes played by Dana Davis. Monica lost her mother in Hurricane Katrina and became the family's bread winner. Forced to give up her dream of attending college, she works at a fast food restaurant. She applied for the management program but was denied by her boss.

Monica began exhibiting abilities shortly after Niki Sanders left her son Micah to stay with their family. After viewing a television program on which the host carved a rose from a tomato, she did the same unconsciously. She also acquired a wrestling move from a pay per view program which she used to overcome an armed robber who broke into her workplace.

Micah became aware of Monica's abilities after watching her play a piano piece he'd just completed. Using a 9th Wonders! comic book for reference he expressed his belief that she may be a copy cat with muscle mimicry. ("Fight or Flight".

Powers

Monica appears to be able to act out any physical motion she has witnessed without prior experience. Though the initial expression of her ability seemed related to things absorbed from television, her power is not limited to televised actions. She is able to replicate all physical motions though the limits of her ability remain to be seen.
