Summary

After uncovering an ancient camcorder, The US Air Force orders Dr. Samantha Carter, and teacher Dr. Daniel Jackson to Cheyenne Mountain where they receive a message recorded thousands of years ago from themselves, informing them that they must repair the damage done to the time line. With the information from the message, the Air Force learns of the Stargate and discovers the Antarctic Gate. The Gaza gate was taken from Earth by Ra when he abandoned the planet following the uprising.

Carter and Daniel team up to convince a reticent and retired Jack O'Neill to return with them to Cheyenne Mountain. They hope they'll be able to convince the officials to let them join a mission to Chulak, to be undertaken using a discovered puddle jumper that only O'Neill can fly. on Chulak they hope to fin Teal'c who is still in service to Apophis and convince him to abandon his beliefs and join them.

Their mission is only partially successful as they are quickly captured by Apophis' forces. They manage to convince Teal'c to join them but in the process, Daniel and Charles Kawalsky are killed. Carter, Teal'c and O'Neill travel 10'000 years back into the past and arrive in Ancient Egypt where they discover Daniel who informs them that their counterparts were both killed in their initial attempt at an uprising. Their arrival leads to a more successful uprising which also succeeds in preventing Ra from taking the gate, and secures the future.

In the present, a team discovers the Zero Point Module in ancient Egypt along with a message from themselves that informs them of the changes and corrections to the timeline. They no longer have to go back in the past. All seems well with the timeline, with the exception of the sudden appearance of fish in O'Neill's lake.
