Mobile Analytic Laboratory Probe or MALP is a fictional device on the series Stargate SG-1. It is an unmanned ground vehicle designed for preliminary exploration of other planets through the Stargate. It incorporates a video camera, laser range finder, spectrometer and microphone and is capable of analyzing air quality and temperature, in order to determine a planet's suitability for human exploration.
