Mission: Impossible is a spyfi drama series, created and produced by Bruce Geller. The series aired on CBS for seven seasons. Two additional seasons aired on ABC from 1988 to 1990. The popular theme music was composed by Lalo Schifrin and variations on that theme have been the lead in for three hit films based on the series starring Tom Cruise. The series centers on a team of secret agents, Impossible Missions Force, in the United States, tasked with dealing with criminal organizations and corrupt despots.
