Miss Martian is a fictional teen superhero character owned by DC Comics. She was introduced as a member of the Teen Titans, having joined the group during its "One Year Later" hiatus. She comes from the same world and has similar powers as Martian Manhunter, though she is actually a White Martian rather than a Green Martian as she appears to be. White Martians are natives of Mars but are a lot more war-like than the peaceful, philosophical Green Martians like J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter. Presumably, M'Gann has taken on a form that she felt Earth dwellers would find easier to accept and trust, appearing to be the same kind of Martian as the Justice League founder.

Like all Martians, her powers are to fly, shape shift, turn invisible or intangible, emit energy beams from her eyes, and have superhuman strength and great endurance. She is also a telepath. She is extremely vulnerable to fire.

Like many teens, Miss Martian rejected the values of her Martian peers. She was born member of a small tribe of White Martians who had escaped the plague that destroyed most other Martians. White Martians breed and raise their children to long for death and battle, but M'Gann was different. By White Martian custom, her parents should have killed her for being kind and docile. Instead, her parents sought to hide her daughter's peaceful, nurturing nature. When her parents are killed by humans, she flees the tribe to join Earth as a hero. Her wish is to start a life helping people and peers with which she can belong. Not much else is known about Miss Martian or how she came to be a member of the Teen Titans.
