Miranda Richardson (b. March 3, 1958, Southport, Merseyside, England) is an Academy Award-nominated Eglish actor. This intensely emotional, actress lost her head when she played the duplicitous Lady Van Tassel in Tim Burton's version of Washington Irving's classic Sleepy Hollow (1999). Miranda's other credits include the made-for-television fantasies, Alice in Wonderland (1999), Merlin (1998), Snow White (2001), and Merlin's Apprentice (2006) , as well as the films Transmutations (1985), Jacob Two Two Meets the Hooded Fang (1999), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), Fred Claus (2007) and Telepathy(2008) .
