The Minbari are a species of aliens featured in the Babylon 5 universe. The Minbari homeworld, called Minbar, is the seventh planet in their solar system and like Earth possesses an oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere. The Minbari are physically similar to Humans with a bipedal form and five digits. They are different in that they are, both males and females, totally bald and have a bone crest growing from their craniums. The Minbari are governed by a caste system consisting of three distinct classes, Worker, Warrior and Religious. Series characters Delenn and Lennier are of the Religious caste. The Grey Council is the ruling body of Minbari government and is comprised of three members from each caste.

The Minbari are among the oldest of the younger races in Babylon 5 and possess far more advanced technology than the Humans of the series. The Earth-Minbari War went very badly for Earth because of this technological disparity. The Earth Alliance would have surely lost had not the Minbari suddenly and inexplicably surrendered at the Battle of the Line.
