Michael Vaughn is a fictional character on the series Alias played by Michael Vartan.

Vaughn is a CIA agent whose real name is Andre Michaux. Vaughn was Sydney's handler while she worked as a double agent in the organization SD-6. The two developed deep feelings for each other intensified by the fact that he was the only person with whom she could be completely honest. They became romantically involved but their relationship came to an end when Sydney appeared to have been killed in a fire leaving Vaughn devastated.

Following Sydney's death, he left the CIA to work as a French teacher. He became involved with NSC liaison, Lauren Reed and the two married. Sydney resurfaced two years later with no knowledge of where she'd been for the past two years. Vaughn returned to the CIA and his feelings for Sydney became a problem for his marriage.

Vaughn later learned his wife was a double agent working for The Covenant. Angry at having been taken in by her, he became obsessed with bringing her down. The similarity in their experiences caused an odd bond with Sydney's father Jack who encouraged him to kill her. He managed to kill Lauren, saving Sydney's life in the process.

Vaughn was recruited to join a black-ops division of the CIA known as APO alongside Jack, Sydney, Marcus Dixon, and later Eric Weiss and Marshall Flinkman. He also resumed his relationship with Sydney. He proposed to her and on a vacation planned to reveal his true identity to her. His revelation was cut short by a car accident. Following the accident he is taken by an armed group from the crash site.

It was later revealed that Vaughn was, in fact, Andre Michaux. His father was a mathematician working with Prophet Five. He was approached by an associate of his father, Renée Rienne whose father also worked with Prophet Five and the two attempted to discover more about the group.

Shortly after learning that Sydney was pregnant, Vaughn was shot and appeared to have been killed. It was later revealed that he was alive and living in Bhutan, recovering from his injuries. Jack helped him fake his death and sent him to Bhutan to hide him from Prophet Five. He was informed that Sydney gave birth to their daughter.

Vaugn was forced to reveal himself by Anna Espinosa who had been genetically altered to resemble Sydney. Together they discover that Vaughn had a chip in his shoulder similar to one found inside Renée. The chip leads them to an abandoned bunker in Germany and Ana and Vaughn break into it. Ana attempts to kill him but Vaugn was aware that she was not Sydney and had given her an unloaded gun. Sydney killed Ana and she and Vaugn reunited. They returned to Los Angeles where he met his daughter, Isabelle, for the first time. Vaughn later helped bring down prophet 5, Arvin Sloane and Irina Derevko. Much later, he and Sydney had a second child, a son they named Jack for Sydney's father.
