Michael McDowell

Michael McDowell (b. June 1, 1950December 27, 1999) is an American screenwriter known for his work with Tim Burton on the films Beetlejuice, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. McDowell also provided the screenplay for the 1996 adaptation of Stephen King's Thinner and Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. He also wrote several episodes of the series Tales from the Darkside.

McDowell died in 1950 from AIDS related complications.
