Michael Bay

Michael Benjamin Bay (b. February 17, 1965, Los Angeles, California) is an American director and producer known for blockbuster action films like Armageddon, The Rock and Bad Boys. Bay is a graduate of Wesleyan University. His early film work includes music videos for such popular artists Tina Turner and Lionel Richie. He also directed commercials which earned him a Grand Prix Clio award and a Golden Lion at Cannes for his "Got Milk" commercials.

Bay made his feature film directorial debut with the movie Bad Boys starring Will Smith and Matthew Lawrence and followed up with The Rock featuring Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage. Bay directed the popular films Pearl Harbor, Bad Boys II, The Island, and Transformers. He also produced the horror films The Texas Chainsaw Massacre , The Amityville Horror, The Hitcher, The Horsemen.

Bay's post-2007 films include Transformers 2, The Birds, and 2012: The War for Souls.
