In the TV show Highlander: The Series, one of the oldest living immortals is the character Methos, portrayed by Peter Wingfield.

Methos first appeared in the episode "Methos," the sixteenth episode in Season 3, using the alias Adam Pierson. Methos was a bit a legend; the watchers did not realize their own Methos expert was in fact Methos himself.

In Episode 12 of Season 5, "Comes a Horseman," Methos was outed as a member of the legendary Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
