Max Brooks

Maximillian Michael Brooks (b. May 22, 1972, New York City, NY) is an American author and Emmy award-winning screenwriter known for his short stories and humorous and historical fiction. Brooks is a graduate of American University.

As an author, Brooks is known for his humorous Zombie books, The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead (2003) and World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War. His work as a screenwriter includes contributions to episodes of 7th Heaven, Melrose Place, and the animated series, Batman Beyond, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and Justice League Unlimited
