Matthew David McConaughey (b. November 4, 1969, Uvalde, Texas) is a popular American actor who has won attention in such films as The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, A Time to Kill, Contact, Amistad, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Sahara.

McConaughey's upcoming roles include Fool's Gold, Surfer Dude, Tropic Thunder and The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.
