Considered the elder of the group in the Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future TV series, Matt Masterson is a career officer who was friends with Stuart Power prior to the Metal Wars.

Despite Hawk's outranking Jon Power, he acts as second-in-command of the group. His ability to fly makes him a formidable enemy against the likes of Soaron, Lord Dread's aerial attack Biodread.

An experienced veteran, Hawk provides historical and tactical knowledge to the group.

Matt Masterson was played by Peter MacNeill [1] on the television series.
