Martin Landau

Martin Landau (June 20, 1931 –) is an Academy Award-winning American actor born in Brooklyn, New York. Landau started out as a cartoonist and illustrator for the New York Times before turning to acting. Landau made his stage debut in "Detective Story" at the Peaks Island Playhouse in Peaks Island, Maine. He returned to New York to make his off-Broadway debut in First Love.

Landau auditioned was accepted to Lee Strasberg's Actors Studio in 1955 alongside Steve McQueen.
