Veteran actress Margaret Hamilton (December 9, 1902– May 16, 1985), forever associated with her dual role as Miss Gulch and the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz (1939), also appeared in William Castle's 13 Ghosts (1960), on television's The Night Strangler (1973), and in The Invisible Woman (1940), and provided the voice of Auntie Em in the animated Journey Back to Oz (1971). Genre fans might remember Hamilton for her recurring role as Hester Frump on television's The Addams Family. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
