The Manticore is a creature of legend originating in Persion mythology and said to inhabit forests of Asia. The Manticore is lion-like in appearance but with a human head, three rows of sharp teeth, and a trumpet-like voice. In some depictions it has horns and a tail of a dragon or scorpion.
