MJ-12 <span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span> MJ-12 (Majestic 12) is an alleged secret US government group created to respond to the UFO crash at Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 (The Roswell Incident). The story first emerged in the 1980s. Unlike many paranormal and UFO stories which rely on hearsay, the MJ-12 controversy has hinged on the authenticity of documents (or photographs of documents). Arguments have been presented on both sides. One interesting twist is the suggestion that if the documents are a hoax, they are so good that they must have been produced by someone with inside knowledge as disinformation.
