Lord Dunsany

Lord Dunsany (Edward John Moreton Drax Plunkett, 18th Baron Dunsany) (1878-1957) was an Irish playwright and author.

Dunsany is best remembered within the genre for his fantasy novels Don Rodriguez: Chronicles of Shadow Valley (1922), The King of Elfland's Daughter (1924) and The Charwoman's Shadow (1926), which were reprinted in the Ballantine Adult Fantasy Series between 1969 and 1974. Ballantine also published three collections of his shorter works, At the Edge of the World (1970), Beyond the Fields We Know (1972), and Over the Hills and Far Away (1974).
