London is the capital city of England and a vast international metropolis. Formerly known as Londinium in Roman times, London is located on the Thames Rivers in south east England. It is one of the world's most important business and financial centers. In the early 2000s, it was the most populous city in the European Union.

London has been the setting for many Sci Fi works, as well as home to many Sci Fi creators.

Haunted London

As an ancient city, it's only natural that London hosts a few ghosts. One of the most well known haunted buildings is the infamous Tower of London reputed to be haunted by the souls of those unfortunate enough to have been imprisoned and executed there. Other haunted locations include:

• Barnet Road, Enfield – rumored to be haunted by the ghost of the murdered Mr. Danby
• Bell Lane, Enfield – haunted by the Phantom Coach of Enfield
• The Rose and Crown – haunted by the ghost of Dick Turpin

• The Flask Tavern – haunted by the ghost of its 19th century landlord
• The Holly Bush Inn – haunted by a mystery waitress
• Osterly Park House – haunted by The White Lady of Osterly
• Westminster Abbey – haunted by a ghostly monk and an unknown soldier
• 50 Berkely Square – reputed to be the most haunted house in London
