Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman was a 1993 TV series loosely based on the Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel superman comics. Intended to be a new take on the Superman saga, Lois Lane got top billing. The series debuted on ABC on September 12, 1993.

Lois & Clark placed a heavy focus on the relationship between Lois (Teri Hatcher) and Clark (Dean Cain). Clark took on the more important role with Superman as his alter ego, which differed from other portrayals of the character. Also appearing in the series was the super villain Lex Luthor played by John Shea.
