Lizards is episode 2 of Heroes season 2.

Plot
Hiro Nakamura- Outside Kyoto Japan
Unable to rouse Kensei properly from his drunken stupor, Hiro takes it upon himself to defend Yaeko. Yaeko bravely attempts to defend herself from a gang of eleven men. Hiro, dressed as Kensei, comes to her rescue, using his abilities to disarm his opponents and impress Yaeko. He informs Kensei of his good deeds and Yaeko thanks Kensei by returning the sword her father crafted for him. Before they can all leave to rescue Yaeko's father from bandits holding him captive, Kensei is shot in chest with three arrows. Though it appears he is dying his wounds begin to heal before Hiro's eyes.
Claire Bennet – Costa Verde, California
Claire doubts her ability to continue to pretend she is less than she is. In class she stirs West's curiosity when she asks detailed questions about the ability of newts and lizards to regrow their limbs and the possibility of humans evolving the same ability. West later approaches her with his wild theories about human evolution and his recent discovery of Dr. Chandra Suresh' work.
Claire is forced to inform her father that her brand new car was stolen from the school parking lot. The ensuing argument causes Claire to wonder about the limits of her own abilities but her dad assures her its important to stay under the radar as those looking for them would love to cruelly test her limits as well. Claire later decides to test her limits herself by cutting off her own toes. To her surprise, the digit grows back but she discovers someone may have witnessed her experiment.
Maya and Alejandro – Central America
Maya and Alejandro meet a family friend to arrange to cross the border into the US. A healer becomes terrified after reading Maya and decides not to make the trip with them. The two manage to evade border police but become separated. Unable to control herself, Maya's eyes begin to bleed black fluid and those near her are killed. Alejandro catches up to her and sings softly to her causing the fluid to be absorbed back into her skin.
Matt Parkman
Matt is one of the detectives investigating the apparent murder of Kaito Nakamura. He questions Angela Petrelli when her picture is found on Kaito's body. Matt uses her ability to glean that the motive may be revenge. Any further attempts to read her mind are stopped when she blocks his ability to do so. Later, While in custody, she is attacked by an invisible assailant.
Mohinder Suresh
Mohinder is tasked with visiting Haiti to stop what could be an outbreak of the same virus Molly suffered. He finds his patient suffering in a small room and manages to cure him with a drug distilled from his own blood. The patient is "The Haitian" and immediately after returning to health, takes Mohinder's memory of the events. Mohinder is taken to task for his failure but a call he later makes to Noah Bennet reveals his failing was intentional, allowing The Haitian to escape to help Bennet in his cause.
Peter Petrelli – Cork, Ireland
Peter is beaten and questioned about the ipod shipment that is missing from the crate he was found in. The shipment was intended to pay off a local gangster. The lead thug, Ricky's sister, Caitlin helps clean Peter up and discovers that although there is blood, there are no wounds. When several gangsters break into the bar and try to assault the Caitlin, Peter uses his numerous abilities to defend them both, stunning her. Instead of being grateful the thug returns upset at all the furor Peter has caused between him and the man he owes and demands he help make things right in exchange for the information in the box that may have clues about his identity.
