Little, Brown and Company is a publishing house founded by Charles Coffin Little and James Brown. The company is part of the Hachette Book Group. Little, Brown was founded in 1837 and among its first published works were Louisa May Alcott's Little Women, and Emily Dickinson's poetry. The Company is divided into the imprints Little, Brown Books for Young Readers which produces fiction and nonfiction works for children and teens and LB Kids which produces novelty and brand/licensed tie-ins.
