Linea, played by Bonnie Bartlett, first appears on Stargate in the episode "Prisoners". The SG1 team are sentenced to life in a penal colony on Hadante with a gate that does not dial out. Linea, an older woman, appears to be in control and is feared by the variety of people there. She befriends the SG-1 team sharing with them her amazing ability to create energy via a type of cold fusion. They agree to take her with them when they leave. Once back at SGC, they discover that she is called "The Destroyer of Worlds." She hacks into their computer, escapes, but instead of blowing them up, leaves a message that "All debts have now been paid."

Linea, now played by Megan Leitch, returns in "Past and Present". SG-1 arrives on a planet with no children, no elderly, and a population that has total amnesia beginning only about a year before their arrival. As the episode progresses, they discover that Linea is behind the event.
