Leslie What (b. Leslie Neilsen, 1955) is an American author of fantasy fiction and nonfiction works. She won a 1999 Nebula Award for her story The Cost of Doing Business, published in Amazing Stories. She is also the author of the comic novel Olympic Games, and has published more than sixty short stories in such magazines and anthologies as The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Asimov's Science Fiction, Realms of Fantasy, The Third Alternative, SciFiction, The Mammoth Book of Tales from the Road, Bending the Landscape: Horror, All-Star Zeppelin Stories and Polyphony. Her work has been translated into Greek, Spanish, German, Japanese and Klingon.
What lives in Oregon with her husband and two children.
