Leslie Nielsen (b. February 11, 1926, Regina, Saskatchewan) is a prolific Canadian actor. Nielsen began appearing on television in the 1950s and in the later years of his career became well known for his comedic roles in such spoof films as Dracula: Dead and Loving It, Spy Hard, Naked Gun and Superhero Movie. Nielsen began his career guest starring on mystery anthology series such as Starlight Theatre, Stage 13, Suspense, and The Philco Television Playhouse. He gave repeat performances in the scifi anthology series Tales of Tomorrow, and Kraft Television Theatre. He made his genre film debut in the 1956 film Forbidden Planet but did not make another significant genre contribution until a guest appearance on a 1965 episode of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Other notable genre contributions include appearances on The Wild Wild West, Night Slaves, Night Gallery, The Resurrection of Zachary Wheeler, Fantasy Island, Creepshow, The Creature Wasn't Nice, The Ray Bradbury Theater, Highway to Heaven, 2001: A Space Travesty , Santa Who?, Scary Movie 3, and Scary Movie 4.
