Les Baxter (March 14, 1922 – January 15, 1996) American composer and jazz musician who worked with Nat King Cole, Mel Tormé and others. As American International Pictures’ in-house composer he created the music for Roger Corman’s Edgar Allan Poe series and re-scored many of Mario Bava’s movies for American release, including Black Sunday (1960) and Black Sabbath (1963).
