Len Wiseman

Len Ryan Wiseman (b. March 4, 1973, Fremont, California) is an American screenwriter, director, and producer best known for the Underworld film series. Wiseman made his directorial debut with Underworld and followed up with the sequel Underworld: Evolution which he also produced. He is also expected to produce a third Underworld film, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, slated for a 2009 debut. Prior to taking on the role of director, Wiseman worked in the props department of the popular genre films Independence Day, Stargate, Men in Black and Godzilla.

Wiseman studied film at De Anza College in Cupertino, California. His career in film was in part inspired by the Bruce Willis action film, Die Hard. He got his chance to contribute to the Die Hard series in 2007 when he directed Willis in the sequel Live Free or Die Hard.

Wiseman married actress and Underworld star Kate Beckinsale on May 9, 2004.
