Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events is a 2004 movie based on the Lemony Snicket novel children's novel series. The film incorporates plot points from the first three books in the series, The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, and The Wide Window. The film was nominated four awards for it's costume design, set decoration and music and won the Oscar for Best Achievement in Makeup for Vali O'Reilly and Bill Corso

Plot

Following the death of their wealthy parents, three children are sent to live with a distant relative only to discover he is plotting to kill them and take their fortune for himself.
