Laura San Giacomo (b. November 14, 1963, Hoboken, New Jersey) is an American actress. Giacomo grew up in Denville, New Jersey and attended Morris Knolls High School. She later attended Carnegie Mellon School of Drama where she earned her degree in fine arts. She had a breakout hit in her fist major feature role, Sex, Lies, and Videotape. She followed up with the films Pretty Woman alongside Julia Roberts and Quigley Down Under with Tom Selleck and Alan Rickman.
Giacomo may be well remembered by comedy fans for her role in the sitcom Just Shoot Me. Genre fans however, probably remember her best for her role in the Stephen King miniseries, The Stand. She has also lent her voice to the Disney series Gargoyles and Batman Beyond.
