Kristy Swanson (b. December 19, 1969) is an American actress born in Mission Viejo, California. A former child actress, Swanson is most famous for her role as Buffy Summers in 1992's Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Swanson got her start as a child in commercials and eventually gave up regular school at thirteen to focus on her acting career. Her other notable appearances include Ferris Bueller's Day off, Hot Shots!, Higher Learning and Mannequin: On the Move.
