Kirk Alyn (b. October 8, 1910 in Oxford, New Jersey – March 14, 1999) was the actor who portrayed Superman in the Superman (serial), although he was simply billed as Superman in the credits. Prior to his genre appearances, Alyn appeared in several westerns. He had uncredited roles in Superman: The Movie.
