King of the Zombies is a 1941 horror comedy directed by Jean Yarbrough.

Synopsis

During WWII, a plane is blown off course by a storm and is guided by a radio signal toward an island. They crashland and discover the island is inhabited. The plane's pilot and his passenger and servant take refuge in a mansion owned by a doctor. The servant becomes convinced the mansion is haunted by ghosts and zombies. The three investigate and find the doctor has been performing voodoo rituals in the cellar in order to acquire war intelligence. He has been transferring personalities into his zombies. When interrupted however, his zombies turn against him.
