Kim Cattrall (b. August 21, 1956, Liverpool, England) is an actress well known for her role as the confident Samantha Jones on the HBO series Sex and the City. Catrall moved to Canada with her parents as baby but returned to Englad at eleven to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She returned to Vancouver where she graduated highschool at sixteen and won a scholarship to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. She won he first film role in 1975 in Rosebud and followed up with her genre debut in the TV horror Good Against Evil (1977).
Though her genre performances were rarely popular she did make several genre appearances including Deadly Harvest (1977), Logan's Run, The Incredible Hulk, Tucker's Witch, Mannequin (1987), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991), Unforgettable (1996), The Outer Limits, Invasion, Creature (1998), Modern Vampires (1998), Baby Geniuses (1999), The Devil and Daniel Webster (2004).
