Katie Brown is a fictional character on the series Stargate Atlantis played by Brenda James. Brown was a botanist on the Atlantis Expedition. Katie became romantically involved with Rodney McKay. McKay decided to propose to Katie but when the two became trapped together during a lockdown, McKay's severe panicked reaction to the crisis made him reconsider whether he was ready for marriage. His decision ended their relationship, though it took McKay some time to realize that fact. Katie returned to Earth.
