Katherine Emily Hewlett (b. December 17, 1976) is a Canadian actress born in Toronto, Ontario. She attended the Bishop Strachan School in Toronto for fifteen years. She continued her education at National Theatre School in Montreal where she studied for three years. Kate is one of six children. Her elder brother, David Hewlett, is also an actor known for his work on Stargate Atlantis. In 2005 and 2007, Kate guest starred on the series playing David's character, Rodney McKay's sister, Jeannie Miller. She has also made appearances in Loose Change, Kevin Hill, Dark Water and the film written and directed by David, A Dog's Breakfast.
