Karina Lombard is a Spanish actress and former model born in Tahiti on January 29, 1969 to a Lakota medicine woman and Henry Lombard, a European architect of Swiss, Russian, and Italian origin and heir to a Geneva banking dynasty. She moved to Spain in her early years and attended boarding schools throughout Europe. She is fluent in Spanish, English, German, and French.
She moved to New York and became a model. She also expanded her interests into dance and acting. She has appeared in several stage productions including Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Summer and Smoke, Joan of Arc, and Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. Her film credits include Legends of the Fall, The Firm, Kull the Conqueror, and The Seventh Scroll.
In 2004, she played the manipulative Marina on Showtime's The L Word. Her character was much loved but was eventually killed off. In 2005, she joined the cast of the USA Network series The 4400 as Alana Mareva.
Lombard's interests include music and writing. She is working on her debut album and a music project with Cirque du Soleil.
