Ka D'Argo is an imposing Luxan warrior imprisoned for several cycles by the Peacekeepers after being framed for the murder of his Sebacean wife, Lo'Laan by his brother-in-law, Macton. Macton, like many Sebaceans, believed that the interbreeding of Sebacean and Luxan was an abomination. Captain Bialar Crais, a Peacekeeper commander knew of D'Argo's innocence but did nothing to help him.
During his imprisonment, D'Argo's son, Jothee disappeared. D'Argo wanted to find him and eventually did. Jothee was enslaved and John Crichton risked his life to help rescue him. Their joyful reunion eventually came to an end when D'Argo discovered Chiana betrayed him in an affair with Jothee.
As a Luxan, D'Argo experiences a state of uncontrollable hyper-rage, an extended period of aggression unique to Luxans relieved only through violence or time. D'Argo carries a qualta blade an unusual and ancient broad sword that transforms into an energy rifle. The blade helped him unlock the means of operating a Luxan ship he acquired at a commerce station. The ship helped him gain purpose in his life and his confidence. He named it Lo'La, after his wife.
Despite being intimidating and prone to fits of rage, D'Argo gained the respect of his crew mates and developed a strong bond with them despite initial wariness. He was elected captain of Moya by his crew mates. He was mortally wounded in a firefight with Peacekeeper forces in Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars. He died defending his friends. Crichton and Aeryn named their son D'Argo in honor of him.

Crichton: No, I win. Paper wraps rocks.
D'Argo: No, paper cannot possibly beat rock.
Crichton: It does. Paper beats rock.
D'Argo: Rock rips through paper.
Crichton: D'Argo, that's not how it works. Paper beats rocks.
D'Argo: That's unrealistic.
Crichton: Well, it's the rules. And it's not supposed to be realistic, it's supposed to be entertaining.
