Jumanji

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Jumanji is a 1981 children's book written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg and published by Houghton Mifflin. The book centers on a magical board game that manifests real live animals and other features of a jungle environment. The players must fight to overcome the various obstacles created by the game and complete it in order to put the world back to rights. The novel spawned a feature film starring Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, Bebe Neuwirth, and Bonnie Hunt. An animated television series was also created, loosely based on the book.

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
