Julian McMahon

Julian Dana William McMahon is an Australian actor with several prominent roles to his name. He is currently known as Dr. Christian Troy on the FX Network series Nip/Tuck. Born on July 27, 1968 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, he is the second of three children and the only boy born to Sir William McMahon and Lady Sonia McMahon. His father was once the prime minister of Australia.

He attended the Sydney Grammar School before moving on to the University of Sydney to study law and economics. He abandoned law in favor of a successful modeling career that sent him around the world. His role in a jeans commercial led to an acting role in the popular Australian series Home and Away as Ben Lucini.

McMahon has also performed on stage in a musical version of Home and Away and also in Love Letters. His first appearance on American television was on the soap opera Another World. His first prominent role was in the series Profiler on which he played Detective John Grant. He has also played the role of Cole Turner on the series Charmed. His biggest movie role has been in the role of Dr. Victor Von Doom in the film version of Fantastic Four.

McMahon married pop star Dannii Minogue on January 2, 1994 and the two divorced a year later. He later married Brooke Burns on December 22, 1999 and the couple had a daughter Madison. They divorced in 2001. He has two sisters, Melinda and Deborah.
